We’re on a mission to help!

Around this time of year, organizations like Bridgeport Rescue Mission are looking for extra food donations to help families get the food they need for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We’ve set a goal to collect 500 items to donate!

As an added bonus, we have a chance to make a bigger impact. Thrivent Financial will donate $500 to the charity we deliver the food too if we are one of the first 100 donors. It’s a race, with the prize going to those who need it most!

Beginning now through October 29, bring non-perishable boxed or canned food to Holy Cross. We appreciate your generosity in helping us reach our goal, but more importantly, in helping those in our community.

Items needed at this time include:

• peanut butter and jelly

• canned meats

• boxed pasta

• mac & cheese

• cereal

• canned spaghetti sauce

• low-sodium soups

• veggies (especially green beans, corn, peas, and sweet potatoes)

• fruit, and beans

• canned cranberry sauce and gravy

• stuffing mix (boxes and bags)

• rice

• coffee

• sugar

• powdered creamer

• Please, no glass containers.
