As the project progress, check back here for updates.
NEW June 18-25
The layout begins as new studs go up for framing, pipes are roughed in, and electrical wires are run where they need to go. In addition, the piping that was added for our new drain lines passed inspection, and the trench has been filled!
June 14-17
Due to the fact that we needed to add toilets in new locations, the jackhammer was called in. And by jackhammer, I mean Chris Romano. Chris put in two solid nights of cutting concrete and hammering out blocks until there was a great pile of rubble left. Pastor Erb and Rick Van Wart were on site to load up all the rubble and haul it away to be recycled.
Pastor Erb and Chris Romano stayed later into the night, digging out the trenches for the new plumbing, and punching two holes between the bathrooms to make way for new drains.
June 13: Demo Day
Chris Romano, Rick Van Wart, Charlie Senft, Vinnie Riccio, Pastor Erb, Kyle, Nate, and Brett Helminger made quick work removing the partitions, accessories, & ceiling, as well as chipping away the base tile trim. Lucca Plumbing was also on site to remove all the toilets & sinks, as well as cut and cap our plumbing fixtures.
The men’s and women’s bathrooms are being renovated over the summer to brighten up the space, give us an updated look, and bring us into ADA compliance. The project begins on June 13 and will continue until mid-August. Thank you in advance for your patience as we tackle this project.

These bathrooms have remained untouched since they were first constructed nearly 40 years ago. We’ve needed to complete numerous repairs on the toilets, the lighting is dim, the walls and floor are dingy, and, above all, they are not ADA compliant. The good news is that we can utilize the existing footprint to shift a few things around to bring us into compliance and get a fresh new look at the same time.

We have budgeted $95,000 for this project. Thanks to generous donors, we have already collected $70,000 dedicated for this project. We are also anticipating to receive an additional 20k from a former members estate.

Each bathroom, when finished, will have one ADA compliant stall. The men's room will have two additional urinals, and the women's room will have a second standard stall. Each will have double sinks, new lighting, mirrors, ceiling, and accessories. The floors will be re-tiled with 12x24 slate-like tile, and the walls will be tiled floor to ceiling with white marble look. The faucets and other accessories will be in a brushed brass/bronze.
We will post updates, including pictures in the "updates" section of this page.

While the initial planning phase has been in effect for quite some time, the project officially kicks off on June 13 and we aim to be completed before preschool is back in session on September 3.

There is a single-use bathroom in the conference room that will remain functional. In addition, there are men’s and women’s bathrooms located on the basement level that remain functional. There is also a bathroom in Pastor Erb’s office that can be made available if necessary.

As silly as it may sound, the first thing you can do is pray. We have a tight timeline, with a lot of different trades coming in and out. To have a project that gets completed on time, and with no major issues will be a blessing.
You can also help by contributing financially. Go to our giving page, and click the tile marked "Bathroom Renovations" to make a contribution.
There won't be a lot of work we will have to do ourselves, but if you're interested in getting hands on in some way, please let us know and we will contact you if a need arises.
