Hello and Welcome - We are Glad You Found Us!

Our Sunday Worship Service times are 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Our Lenten theme this year is "Thy Will Be Done,"  a series published by Creative Communications for the Parish.  On the night before He went to the cross for our salvation, Jesus prayed to His Father, "Not as I will, but as You will."  And that will be our prayer as well this Lent as we seek to do God's will in our lives.  Beginning with Ash Wednesday, each service in this series will focus on a different aspect of God's will at work among us.  Biblical characters will be used as insightful reference points each week to guide us in following our Lord more nearly day by day.  Our midweek Lenten services are at 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday, beginning on Ash Wednesday (February 14).  See the Worshipping Opportunities link under the GROW WITH US banner above for details on each midweek service.

For the Week Starting 03/18

OUR MIDWEEK LENTEN SERIES, “THY WILL BE DONE,” continues on Wednesday with worship at 7:30 p.m.  We will use the Holden Evening Prayer liturgy and our service focus will be, “God’s Will and My Response” and the spotlight will be on Lydia:  We remember that Lydia followed God’s will by responding in faith and hospitality when the Gospel message of Christ’s sacrifice was preached to her.  We follow the will of God by responding in love and service to others in return for what Christ has done for us.

SOUP SUPPERS IN LENT:  Prior to our midweek service on Wednesdays, please join us for soup and fellowship.  Join us this Wednesday, March 21, at 6:15.  All are welcome!  Look on the narthex table for the sign-up sheet to indicate if you can bring a pot of soup or a plate of finger desserts.

HAVE YOU EVER DECORATED AN EGG FOR EASTER?  If you have – or never have – come join us for some Easter Egg Decorating fun on Sunday, March 25, following the 10:30 service.  A sign-up sheet will be on the narthex table.  Any questions, please contact Julianne Nyitrai.

TODAY IS THE DEADLINE TO ORDER EASTER FLOWERS. The order forms are in a basket on the narthex table.  If you would like to order a tulip, lily, hyacinth or daffodil to adorn the sanctuary on Easter Sunday, please fill out a form and put it with your payment in the ALTAR FLOWER mailbox.

EASTER SUNDAY BREAKFAST—APRIL 1 AT 8:30 A.M.:  Come and enjoy our annual Easter Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. between the 7 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship services.  Please indicate on the Attendance Sign-Up Sheet if you are able to provide a breakfast item.  Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up, serving and clean-up.  Both the attendance and volunteer sign-up sheets are on the narthex table.  Also take note that there will be an Easter Egg Hunt after the Easter breakfast.  If your child(ren) will take part, please sign up on the sign-up sheet on narthex table.

PLEASE JOIN US FOR A SOCIAL MINISTRY COMMITTEE MEETING next Sunday, March 25, from 9:15-10:15 a.m. (between services) in the Fellowship Hall.  We hope to expand our group, discuss ways to get involved at church, and brainstorm ideas for new, fun events for our congregation!  Snacks will be provided.  Hope to see you there!  (Questions?  See Kendra Norman or Stephanie Helminger.)

EASTER BASKETS FOR COVENANT TO CARE are due today.  If you had taken an egg or bunny tag and forgot the basket, please be in touch with Mary Schrock to make arrangements for getting the basket to the church.

500 IN 50:  When you reach one goal, do you stop?  No!  We strive for the next goal!  How many items will you help us collect by Easter to support the Bridgeport Rescue Mission?  Can we reach 750? 1,000?  It’s up to us.  Thank you for your generosity.

DO YOU, OR DOES SOMEONE YOU KNOW, NEED A PRESCHOOL?
