Hello and Welcome - We are Glad You Found Us!
Our Worship Service times are: Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.; Monday at 7:00 p.m.
The Lenten Season begins on February 10--Ash Wednesday. Click on the GROW WITH US heading above and navigate to "Worshipping Opportunities" for the details on our Lenten theme and midweek services.
The pictures in this gallery include photos from Pastor Wismar's installation at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, the day volunteers helped his family move into the parsonage, and a few other events and volunteer activities.
ASH WEDNESDAY IS THIS WEEK on Feb. 10, and we offer a service with an Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion at 7:30 p.m. The theme for our midweek services this year is “Living Lent.” Each service in this series focuses on a word to consider while living Lent as Easter people. The Ash Wednesday service in the series is based on the word PONDER and reminds us that Lent is a time toponder our relationship with God and with one another and to discover the love of God seen in the cross and empty tomb. The service includes readings from Scripture, a sermon and hymns that help us to remember that we are people of the resurrection living in Lent.
LENTEN DEVOTIONAL BOOKLETS are in a basket on the narthex table—please take one for yourself and/or your family. Our main devotion booklet this year is called “Living Lent” and goes with the midweek Lenten/Holy Week theme we will follow. There are also a few devotion books for teens/young adults, families with young children, and sample booklets the church office received.
