Announcements

For the Week Starting 04/22

CROP WALK TO BE HELD MAY 6TH:  Come and join the walk for world and local hunger!  We will walk Sunday afternoon, May 6, from 1:30 to 4:00 at Seaside Park in Bridgeport.  Enjoy a day walking along the beach as we come together for a good cause.  Walk as little or as long as you wish.  Any questions, see Carol Burns.

SERVERS ARE NEEDED on Tuesday, May 1, from 4:45 to 6 p.m. for the St. John’s Community Supper in Bridgeport.  If you can volunteer, please put your name on the sign-up sheet that is on the narthex table.

CHANGES/NOTICES FOR THE MAY 6 BULLETIN are due no later than Friday, April 27.  The church office will be closed May 2-7 and the May 6 bulletin will be completed on May 1.

910 IN 50:  Question – just how much did those 910 items (or more than 1,300 if each diaper were counted individually) actually weigh?  For the answer, be sure to read the May issue of The Holy Cross Word!  The Bridgeport Rescue Mission was very thankful for Holy Cross’ generous support.

DO YOU, OR DOES SOMEONE YOU KNOW, NEED A PRESCHOOL? Registration for the 2018-2019 school year at our very own Holy Cross Christian Preschool is ongoing!  Part-day and full-day programs are offered for Pre-K, 4s, and 3s.  For details about the curriculum, or to schedule a visit, phone or e-mail our Preschool Director, Michele Glennon: 203-268-6471, preschool@holycrosstrumbull.com.

CAN YOU SERVE AS A SUNDAY MORNING FELLOWSHIP HOST?  Pick a week that works with your schedule.  We have immediate openings for the next two Sundays, April 29 and May 6.

THE 2018 WORSHIP SUPPLIES AND ALTAR FLOWER CHARTS are on the hallway bulletin board as you approach the Fellowship Hall.  Whomever you would like to honor or remember will be included in our bulletin…it’s a nice way to honor or remember a loved one!  Altar flowers for a week, or one of our worship supplies for a month, are available to fund and need your support.

IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE, take a look on the hallway bulletin board to see the Easter greeting cards given to our congregation by two of the AA groups that meet in our basement.  These group members truly appreciate being able to have their weekly meetings at our facility.

EACH SUNDAY WE OFFER PRAYERS on behalf of those who are in need, listing them by name in the weekly bulletin.  If you have submitted a prayer request, please keep Pastor updated on the individual’s condition.  We want to keep our prayer list current and offer a prayer of thanksgiving when appropriate.  If you would like someone added/removed from the list, please let us know!
