WORSHIP NOTES: Our Summer Worship schedule continues through the Sunday of Labor Day weekend (Sept. 6). Our SundayWorship Service is at 9 a.m.
MONTHLY COMMUNITY SUPPER: Holy Cross is responsible for preparing/serving the meal on the first Tuesday of the month. Our next day to cook and serve is this week, on September 1. See the sign-up sheet on the narthex table to indicate your availability to help with either cooking or serving.

THE WEEKLY MONDAY NIGHT SERVICE RESUMES SEPT. 14. The Monday service begins at 7 p.m. Communion will be offered on the 3rd Monday every month. Please take advantage of these services if you are unable to join us on Sunday. Please note: There will notbe a service on Labor Day, Sept. 7.
CHRISTIAN DISCUSSION GROUP: We’re starting up again! Yay!!! Come out and join us this Wednesday, September 2, at 10 a.m. in the Conference Room. We'll also be meeting on Sept. 23 and Sept. 30. Our first topic of discussion will focus on some interesting creation/evolution questions, as well as evidence for how “Science Confirms The Bible.”
ATTENTION FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN AGES 3 THROUGH GRADE 12: Join us for an exciting adventure in Sunday School this year! We will be using the church-wide program titled: “According to Plan.” Through Bible Study, music and activities, students will journey through the Bible on the path to discovering God’s marvelous plan for their lives. Registration forms are on the narthex table; please register your children today. Sunday School begins next Sunday, Sept. 6, following the 9 a.m. service, with our first annual adult and student “meet n’ greet!” It’s Sunday School for the entire family. PLAN TO ATTEND OUR PASTA NIGHT! Save this date—Saturday, Sept. 26, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. A delicious menu and fun fellowship is on tap! Tickets will be on sale next Sunday, Sept. 6.

PICTORIAL DIRECTORY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We are looking for people to help with photo sign-ups, telephone our members, layout design, or serve as a host/hostess during the photo sessions. SAVE THE DATE—OCTOBER 2ND & 3RD: Do you see people here at church and wonder what their names are? Have you heard an announcement regarding a member and wished you could put a face with a name? Are you a new member and wish you had something to help you put names with faces? Help is on the way! We are producing a pictorial church family album! There is no cost to have your portraits taken, and you will receive a complimentary 8 X 10 portrait along with a printed directory for participating. At your session you will be able to view your images electronically and have the opportunity to purchase additional portraits. More information to come!
CALLING ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS! Do you have candid pictures of Holy Cross gatherings or outreach? Photos from the annual Church Picnic or Crop Walk? Volunteers at the soup kitchen?
