Each week here at Holy Cross, after sharing together Christ's body and blood in the Sacrament of Holy Communion, we pray a special prayer called the Post-Communion Collect.  This prayer "collects" our grateful thoughts into one prayer, asking that the gifts of forgiveness, life and salvation that we received in the Divine Service - specifically in the Lord's Supper - would strengthen our faith toward God and would carry into our lives and callings as we relate with others.  Martin Luther was fond of saying "God doesn't need your good works, but your neighbor does."  God saves us so that we can give ourselves to our neighbors in love - so that we can serve Him by serving others.  Here at Holy Cross we have many opportunities in which for you to serve:
